Family of teen Brooklyn stray bullet victim sues city for not keeping park safe

The mother of a traumatized Brooklyn teen wounded by a stray bullet has filed a lawsuit accusing the city of failing to keep the neighborhood park safe where the violence erupted, the Daily News has learned.
The unusualfiling says the July 24, 2019 shooting of Lavae Flowers, then 13, happened in part because the NYPD and Parks Department didn’t protect the Bedford-Stuyvesant residents who use St. Andrews Park.
